In 2010, I began running and training for a marathon. Although I became injured during training I did compete in a half marathon in Jersey City, NJ. Immediately upon completing the half marathon I knew I was hooked. To document my running while also wanting to share my passion for the sport with other runners, I created this site.
I definitely consider myself a rookie in this sport but I’m hoping to learn a lot over the next few years. I will say I already feel like I’ve picked up a lot in my first year. The knowledge from my roommates who are competitive runners and tri-athletes has been a blessing.
In the upcoming 2011 season I’m hoping to accomplish my first marathon as well as automatically qualifying for the 2012 ING New York City Marathon by completing 9 New York Road Runners races while also beginning to delve into trail running. It also should be mentioned I hope to stay healthy for the complete running season this coming year!
Outside of running and training, I’m a big supporter of the New York Red Bull. I never was a fan of soccer or European Football, however ever since the 2010 World Cup, I’ve been hooked. I also enjoy spending time with my lovely girlfriend, Melissa. She’s very supportive of my running, especially when she accompanies me to races in the cold rainy weather! Finally, I love getting together with friends and family to have a good time. Give me a nice scotch or brew and some good conversion and I’m good to go. Of course not on the night before a race…
